Do you think its a good idea to remove the word Yes from any groups originating from the IndyRef, if so what would you use in its place?

I have no problem with the word Yes. It seems pretty timeless.

Rev. Once independence is achieved. Would you continue in political blogging and investigative web journalism.

I'd have thought so. It'd be good to be able to turn my attention onto all parties - and more particularly, whoever was in government - rather than just the Unionist ones. At the moment that's just not my job.

If you were Hulk Hogan and you needed to parallel park your car, would you just line it up beside the space and lift each end into the space individually?

How do you know I'm NOT Hulk Hogan?

If I tell you there's a typo in the first word of your most recent post, how long will it take you to reply "I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN"? ;-)

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE PREMISE OF THIS QUESTION.

Do you ever get a sense that the folk who read Wings have too great a sense of ownership of your time?

Not really, no. Offhand I can't think of a time when people were demanding that I put in more hours or suchlike - if anything, people say to take more holidays. I do get emails asking me to do such-and-such a thing, from people who clearly have no concept of how time-consuming that project would be, but usually I gently point out that there are only 24 hours in the day and they say "Oh, sorry".

Have you ever asked an outsider to review your work, to assess how you measure up to your own goals and to ethical standards?

On occasion. Pass marks so far.

Do you worry that the "dastardly plan" of BritNats to vote tactically to prevent the SNP's growth next year might actually work?

It could do, but I don't think it's likely. I can't see a lot of Labour voters voting Tory or vice versa - the parties might be all but indistinguishable these days, but I don't think their voters feel the same way. The biggest danger to the SNP in my view is Labour voters falling for the old "You've got to vote for us to keep the Tories out" schtick again. But there are signs, at least, that that card might have been played once too often.

Has there been any decision you've made with Wings that you've later regretted and would change?

None that I can think of.

Realistically how many seats do you believe the SNP will win at the next election? Surely there will be people who fall back on the idea to vote Labour to keep the Tories out as May approaches.

Yes, there definitely will be. The only honest answer is that I don't have a clue. I didn't see the absolute majority coming in 2011, and I'm rubbish at predictions generally. I think it could be anywhere from 15 to 45. That's the thing with FPTP - under a certain tipping point it screws you over, reach that point and it screws everyone else over. So it comes down to whether they pass the tipping point or not. After that all bets are off.

Are feminine women a dying breed, or do I just think this because I live in the Highlands and read lefty publications?

If you think I'm touching that one you must have sailed up the Clyde on a caramel wafer.

Is a 'Yes Alliance' at an election a good or bad idea?

More "impractical" than good or bad. I just don't see how it would work, especially under FPTP. There's no seat where anyone other than the SNP is best placed to win it out of the Yes parties, so what you'd be effectively doing would be trying to railroad the electorate into being represented by someone they wouldn't have chosen of their own free will, and electorates don't tend to react well to that.

Independence for Scotland - Yes. Independence for London - also Yes?

Democracy applies. I wouldn't have a vote, as I don't live there.

2 Bullets; Hitler, David Cameron, Nigel Farage are trapped in a room with you. Who do you shoot?

Do I have a gun, or just two bullets?

Favourite album of 2014?

I don't really do albums, so pretty much by default it'd have to be the Taylor Swift one because I love three songs on it.

Have you ever felt like chucking in the towel with WOS?

No. I've felt like taking a week off a few times, but not packing it in. It could really do with another permanent staff member so that there could be actual holidays, but there are all sorts of practical issues with that so I just blunder on as best I can, grabbing half-days here and there.

Do you feel Scottish, British, or a mixture of both?

Scottish. It's a matter of empirical geographical fact that I *am* British - I was born on the island of Great Britain - but it's never felt like my country.

I've longed for a reasonable answer but have yet to get one: what is the point of abstaining rather thsn voting against? It makes no sense to me

I can't help you there. It just seems cowardly to me.

Is Nicola Sturgeon up for the job?

I'm certain she's up FOR it, and I'm also pretty confident that she's up TO it.

Do you ever wish Amiga Power stuck around long enough to morph into a website/eventual media titan?

I think it would have been really interesting if we'd existed properly in the internet era, certainly. Although possibly "interesting" in the Chinese sense.

Do you remember Superplay SNES magazine? And is it just me or was it amazing?

It was one of the finest of the era. Especially Neko.
