Are there any lines from the official translation that you are unhappy with or that you didn't approve of? For instance, I know that Moeka's "Masseuse" nickname was simply changed to "Finger". (As if we couldn't keep track of more than one nickname.)

There were multiple instances of modification done by Makoto's final QC that I didn't agree with.
The Masseuse removal was one thing, but my main problem was the removal of all distinction between "Steins;Gate" and "Steins Gate". They are two separate things, but JAST saw fit to refer to it as Steins Gate in all instances, causing what I believe to be a lessened impact.
Also I had translated all the song names that you can unlock on your phone and insisted that Kurisu's University be referred to as "Victor Chondria University", as that is what it is officially known as, but for some reason the JAST final pass left the song names untranslated and used "Victor Condoria".

Yes. I was part of the team that officially translated the Visual Novel. It started as a fan project and became official over time.

Do you think theres any chance of there being a spin-off of the Worldline Okabe and Suzuha went to in the S;G VN Suzuha ending?

No, I don't. It was left ambiguous on purpose.

Have you ever thought about doing recordings of playing through Robotics;Notes or Chaos;Child and just editing the text after the fact as a way for non-Japanese speakers to experience those stories without the omissions in anime adaptations?

I've thought about it and I have been contacted by some people about it in the past but it didn't go very far.
I don't have any capture cards and I'm of the opinion that youtube translations can cause trouble for official release potential down the road. Plus, where's the magic in playing the game through yourself if you're watching someone else's run?

I heard Steins;Gate 0 follows one of the manga series (Epigraph Trilogy), although my question is this: Is S;G 0 a direct sequel to the anime, or is it just going to branch off from a certain point in the anime and/or VN? I haven't read the Epigraph Trilogy and I've been wondering about this.

Steins;Gate Zero will not be a direct sequel, no. Remember when Okabe stabbed Kurisu and lost his resolve? Only to be revitalized once he received the Operation Skuld D-Mail from his future self? The Okabe in Epigraph and Zero is the Okabe that did not try again after killing Kurisu, the Okabe that gave up and resigned himself to misery.

I felt that the 24 episodes of the Steins;Gate anime did a good job of telling the VN's story. However, Robotics;Notes felt rushed and incoherent in 22 (I can't speak Japanese to read VN but it must be better). Based on its length, how long do you think an optimal Chaos;Child anime will be?

Ideally it would have maybe 30-40 episodes. It would be good if it could adapt all the routes before going to Silent Sky. Unfortunately I don't think the odds of that happening are high.

Has there ever been a whole Science Adventure character popularity poll thing? If so, what were the outcomes?

I'm not aware of any such polls.

So I know by now that I should stay away from the Chaos;Head anime, but what about the Robotics;Notes anime? I keep hearing mixed reviews for it...

The Robotics;Notes anime is okay, but it drops the ball in terms of pacing later on. Also it cuts out a lot of core details that are key to understanding the plot. Unfortunately, since the VN is untranslated, it's your only choice.

How do you already have the PS vita version of Chaos;Child?

Oh, I don't. That's just on pre-order.

I don't have a camera on hand, but I can show you a stock image of it. (There's a Kurisu one too.)
It's not a full-on daki since it's single-sided and smaller than standard, but it's official merchandise and it's comfy so I can't complain.

Nope, but the European release is region-free.

Yeah, I worked on the official JAST release, and the upcoming PQube release will be using the same translation.

If Suzuha never shows in the SG timeline, John Titor then never existed in that timeline correct? Or would the worldwide Reading Steiner depicted in the Epigraph (which I believe is also present in the SG) make them know about him?

According to the rules, John Titor would not have been an entity in the Steins Gate. But it's not something elaborated on or well-explained so we can't say for certain.

In the Steins Gate timeline, Suzuha doesn't even show up to the past or anything, but that raises the question of Braun's life when he got to Akiba. Would he still live in the same house and remember a Hashida Suzu in his life? What would happen here?

Broader convergence would dictate he find himself in the same place in Akihabara even without Hashida Suzu's presence.
The Braun in the Beta World Line found himself in Akihabara for the same reasons the Alpha Braun was there for, sans Hashida Suzu. He likely met his wife in similar circumstances, and Tsuzuri died in the same way as she did in Alpha as well.
So to summarize, Hashida Suzu would not be a figure from Braun's life anymore, but his life would have gone largely the same without her.

If 5pb./Nitro+ approached you to do another VN translation (SciADV or not), would you do it, or was once enough?

I'd do it. If they were gonna get localized I'd like the terminology to remain consistent across titles.

Any chance for the other titles from the SciAdv series (R;N, C;C etc.) to be translated, either officially or by fans?

It'll take a while, but I intend to get around to them.

Steiner, trying to settle a dispute. What were the demands 5pb./Nitro+ made about the VN translation?

They insisted on the following (and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting):
>Make sure Urushibara's name is Luka and not Ruka
>Ensure it's Kongroo over Congroo (Something I had already been advocating for, due to the video e-mail address.)
>Make sure it's Dr People/Dr P in the western one and not Dr Pepper
>Machine translate the western version of the Future Gadget Lab website
>Moeka's surname is to be Kiryu rather than Kiryuu
The brief image of the Dr People bottle in the western release was actually given to us by them, as well.

Is 8bit the only material where the SciAdv protagonists directly interact with each other?

Aside from the stage play where they all get time-warped to 2011 and meet each other, yes. Although there is minor interaction with Daru, Takumi and Kurisu in Robotics;Notes.

Do you think Jast will release all the SciADV series such as C;H and R;N? Or do you think they were only interested in S;G?

Since the other SciADV games are console exclusive, I don't believe JAST will ever pursue them. There may be other interested parties, however...
