Well, that would depend. Russia is a lot smaller than it was during the Napoleonic Wars and WWI and II. Nowadays, if you are fully prepared for a Winter Invasion then I suppose you could dare. Moscow and St Petersburg are a lot closer to the border than in previous wars. Still, Russia now has a very modern military. So, an Invasion would be very difficult.
