If you guys keep producing small amounts of too hot prototypes, why don't you save each good batch and just produce it as finished?

We don't. We had one sorta ok in a non-commercial we are throwing away more than are selling kinda way. All grey purple splash.
On a better note: we approved production samples today. It will be a September release.

A bit old story but why did you renamed "Prime" as "One"? I actually liked that Prime logo.

Apparently it didn't test well in a general market setting.

Are there any yyf team members we can ask a question?

Ask a good question, we will find the person you direct it to and get an answer!

What is better for finger spins, the Horizon or the Shu-Ta? And when are they coming out

Both in July. Both are excellent at finger spins. Two of the best

You guys never come to Houston? Plus there aren't any contests happening in a 500 mile radius so I never get to try out any of the pre releases or protos, I always wanted to compete in the yyf freestyles so my question is...How will I get a free yoyo?

To answer your question... You won't.

i've cleaned my bearing and my velocity is still responsive?

Bearing, string, pads.
It's one of those three.
Does the bearing spin freely?
Is the string normal and attached correctly?
Are the pads installed flat?
Do you have the dial turned to PRO?

Since you mentioned that Shu-Ta will be made of 7075, will the retail price be higher than Shutter?(even if it's high I still need to get atleast 1!)

We won't break banks on shu-TA. It's a players yoyo and players need multiples right!

Was the old velocity more unresponsive than the newer version

Pad to pad distance and range is unchanged. So pure response... No, but shape, weight distribution and even material will change the 'feel'

Can you explain the difference in the the different colors of the response pad? I don't really understand what does it mean just by looking at the graph where performance by time.

Pads break in and wear out.
There is a sweet spot where they are at their best.
