No. The concept was much more with center interchangeable elements to shift shape/weight/performance.
I want to start from plastic, and see where It goes from there, and if gets enough money, maybe start on some aluminum, and when was the best time for you to get yoyo sponsors?
Depending on what you add in skill to the project $20,000 would be about what you would need to invest.
how limited was yhe yyf replay?
We sold 200 at the world yoyo contest. Probably another 100 made. The concept was too much. It was a super high performance yoyo but couldn't take abuse. Like an F1 race car put in the hands of everyday drivers it was going to be problematic rather than fantastic. For this reason the USA project was halted. The design did see light as a HYPER yoyo in Japan where it was released as the GalaxyFly and StarFly with plastic inserts rather than the metal ones replay came with.
How much money did it take to start? Who funded?
What do you want to do? We started with a plastic yoyo for broad distribution. It wasn't inexpensive.

It started with a good idea. 10 years later we feel like we are still starting. I'm not sure if there are any other phases than starting or ending.

Isn't the bimetal design patented by YYJ? I'm just wondering if there was some agreement made or if there was no problem at all rolling the new Genesis out.
Yyj have specific design patents on specific designs. We respect those patents and do not make those designs

When you said PanAm was not needed because it forced proven great players to jump through another hoop also apply to Las Vegas, which does the same?
And AP too. Eyyc is great because so many smaller countries with smaller individual communities, some without national contests, are within driving/train/cheap flight of each other. Not for less contests but just want to see the best in worlds finals and the best win.
