depends.... Buddha king was horrible for freestyle, mighty flea horrible for contests.... but they have their place. Stainless whistler is fun for what it does but plenty of people would say it isnt good.... at what they want.

Have you met any players out there who only get a yoyo once or twice a year? I'm one of those guys but I'd like to have more but I'm broke and money doesn't fall out of a tree for guys like me. -_-
new yoyos are not essential to be a player. it isn't a status or collecting contest, just play.
Is the rockstar still in production? If not, why so?
The last version came out at a very competitive time in the market and we really didnt promote it. Right now Id say the CZM8 is the next logical step in that design path so Id consider that.
I've learned pretty much all the tricks from the list on yye. Any tips on how to get better?
Start watching freestyles and player vids looking for ideas or moves you think are cool. Learn them and go from there. Often mis-learning them is even better because then they become your moves.

What do you all think of the recent news about SPYY?
SPYY have been around for a long time. I think its a reflection of the health of the yoyo market. Its a mess. Respected brands, new upstarts, cheap imports.... its tough to communicate and SPYY got caught out. Personally, best wishes to Steve and Suzanne, I know Steve will never be able to get away from yo-yos so it isnt a real goodbye.

TYLER: take sponsorships from people whose product you like. Its not a life commitment, keep an eye out for bigger and better and let people know your available, for better offers. You hear that Pepsi, Ill drop YoYoFactory in a heartbeat for that 7 figure offer.
