Have you guys loosened up your bearing seats? I noticed that the anodization tends to gall up and create vibe. Which I can deal with I just prefer a clean throw.
Yup, we actually redesigned our seat, we will get a photo on Facebook as there appears to be a lot of interest in this
Yes, I know that the owner of YYF invented BPT, that's why I asked. It would be awesome if you guys made new yo-yo that was a throwback to the 90's, and used BPT. Would this never happen because Duncan now owns all the yo-yos that use brake pads?
It would be taking a BIG step back. That technology is now 15 years old!
you guys being one of the biggest yoyo companies, why dontyou introduce yo-yoing to the Olympic comity? Try to get it to become a Olympic sport. It wouldhelp grow the sport there for help your business ;)
Thanks for thinking we are that big :) We are really just a bunch of YoYo players trying our best! YoYo fails on a number of levels to meet the criteria of being an Olympic sport. Right now We would like to focus on pushing the aspect of playing yoyo just being globally recognized as fun!
Why are almost all your yoyos undersized (~50mm) or full-sized (~56mm)? With such a large range of models I'm surprised there's not more variety in diameters.
We have made other sizes and it keeps coming back to these two! California was 52, mighty Flea is obviously much smaller! This summer we are working on a bigger yoyo for Paul Kerbel!
Time machine? ONEstar is hand tested at the factory. If it vibes it has probably been overtightened pretty bad. Try backing off the tightness just a little to see if it smooths it out. Unfortunately for $15 we cant make it invincible.
What do players receive for putting their name on a signature series yo-yo?
All players with signature yoyos or editions receive part of the profit of every yoyo sold. We love supporting players and annually pay over $100,000 to players on our team.
yes/no/maybe....Not right now. A few things. Just about every 4a yoyo currently available breaks. People drop them and they break, it is a fact of life. We dont have a solution to this and selling yoyos we know will break is not something we want to do. Also there are LOTS of good 4a yoyos on the market and they dont cost a lot of money, so it isnt really attractive for us to get in there competing with these yoyos, especially as there are not THAT many 4A players. We dont like to just make yoyos, we want to make the best. If we cant do that we wont waste anyones time.
Why did Harold Owens use Catalyst in 2012 world instead of H.O.T?
Because the H.O.T. was not produced when that contest went down. The First contest H.O.T. was used in was nationals (OCTOBER) the yoyo was released late November
