I must admit I've not seen him give writer talks, but I promise I will forever and always be too insecure about literally everything to ever give arrogant writer talks.

How do you deal with criticism?

Although my Twitter feed might seem contrary to this right now, I actually love criticism, at least with regards to writing. I am pretty confident in my writing ability, but also keenly aware of my shortcomings, so criticism is like a beautiful gift that helps me to understand how I can improve overall.
Having said that, I've never had a whole book critiqued (or criticised), so it remains to be seen how well I stand up against that!

I need to tell someone but I dunno who to tell so I'll tell you: Just did a pregnancy test cause I was super convinced and it was negative and I'm so happy because I'm not ready yet and yay!

He plays a viking called Ubba in The Last Kingdom and my lord, he is something. Alexander Dreymon is also extremely hot in the show, like if Daniel Johns had invaded England in the 9th century.

Never! My dad did - he was basically housebound from September to December - but I've only started getting it in the past five years. And now we have an oak tree, which apparently drops one of the worst hayfever-inducing pollens around.

I am finding it really hard to be motivated at my job. I provide support for clients who work in an industry I find really unethical and it's really stressful working with people who are "true believers" in the industry. Is this a good enough reason to leave the job?

How did it feel being pregnant? Did you have much morning sickness etc?

With Georgia, everything was completely normal. I was sick for one day and then never again. The whole pregnancy was physically very easy. My labour was long but not hard. We went home from hospital after three nights.
With Lily, I was sick from the minute I was pregnant and I kept on being sick every day until the day she was born, puking all over my carpet while I was in labour. I broke my nose on the toilet after the lid crashed down on me while I was vomiting. I also bled heavily from about 5 weeks to 9 weeks, and was hospitalised twice with a "threatened miscarriage" and once for extreme dehydration. At 24 weeks I developed symphysis pubis dysfunction (pelvic separation), which is where the ligaments around your pelvis soften and the bones don't hold together as well. That made me pretty much immobile from about 30 weeks onwards. My labour was short - I gave birth 34 minutes after I arrived at the hospital - but I lost a lot of blood. We went home later the same day. I didn't have PND at all.
So, totally different!

You've made a good choice there! I do think the SA accent is superior, to be perfectly honest. I hope I can hold onto mine until I get back there.
