How would you explain color to a blind man?
I wouldn't even bother trying to describe individual colors to him. Why does he need to know the difference between red and green?
For someone blind since birth, the only thing they need to know about color is this: Similar to how a blind person can differentiate between objects by shape and/or texture, color allows a sighted person to differentiate between objects of the same shape and texture.
I'd take him outside in the sunlight with two pieces of material of the same texture, one white, one black, and let him feel how the black one is getting warmer because it's absorbing heat, while the white one remains cool to the touch. This is because of their color. And it's why you should wear lighter colors on hot, sunny days.
