One of my mom's colleagues has actually done a study on that. Real depression is bad enough that the pain pushes the person to get medical help for therapy, or medication, or both. Those who dont seek help are the attention seekers, because they wouldnt be getting pity if they were better.
I disagree with you in that. A lot of people that probably have real depression don't seek help because they think they don't deserve it, but do want to seek help. Then, why didn't people who killed themselves seek help before? Open your eyes, things aren't as you imagine.
