To the people that say sant bhindranwale was wrong for keeping weapons in the golden temple, how do I respond to that?

Within the Harmandhir Sahib complex there many other Gurdwaras. Sant Ji did not keep weapons in Harmandhir Sahib itself instead in Akaal Takht which Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji did too...

What is the purpose of keeping hair? I know so many Singhs who are suffering from Traction Alopecia. By trying to keep Kesh they lose it in the process... can you shed light on this please?

We've got the question wrong, we should be asking what is the purpose of removing hair.
Removing hair is going against the flow, keeping is remaining in the flow.
'Hukam rajaee chalanaa', keeping hair is walking in Gods will.
I can try & give a big list of benefits but it seems people still find something to pick at, so for me simply my Guru has said not cut hair which enough for because I know my Guru will only do good for me....I know there can only be a positive in following the Gurus order.

What did Waheguru have in place before Sikhi? Could he of brought down Mohammed or Jesus?

Daas doesn't doubt that Vaheguru sent Mohammed or Jesus. But the message may have got deluded over time that's why the world needed someone to save Kaljug - Guru Nanak Patshah.

If everything in this life is temporary especially our family why is worth keeping? For example if I love my mother and father so much but only to know in the next life I won't know them how can one look forward to the next life?

It's not about looking forward to the next life, it's about connecting to Vaheguru ji which is the The Truth (permanent) now.
We can experience a life beyond this physical world & body now, only then we'll understand what this game is about.

vjkk vjkf. what is the signifcance of the naala in the kachera, as I know some people who exchange for elastic as they cannot control their bladder whilst untying the naala. is this ok to do?

VJKK VJKF! Kacchera is there to control our Kaam. Naala is there so we always think twice before indulging in Kaam, naala is important. Just tie it looser...

Was sant Ji in touch directly with guru gobind singh maharaj? Obviously you guys at basics of sikhi know what depths can be reached with deep spirituality. Would it have been possible for sant Ji to have darshan of maharaj when he needed?

Sant Ji did get Darshaan of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. There was an occasion when Sant ji went into Bairaag and was pleading to Mata Sahib Kaur to give Darshan of Pita ji. However daas cannot describe the level Sant Ji was at.

If you visit a dying person in hospital, and that person dies while you're visiting, what is the best thing to do when you get home? Punjabi culture has rituals like throwing water over you backwards etc. but I guess that's not in line with Gurmat? Is anything prescribed in Sikhi for this?

Read some Bani ji, that's the best time to make a change, when we actually witness the truth of life that we're gunna go too.

Now that the weathers getting better my friends often wear shorts to the Gurdewara and a lot of the elderly get mad at them. Are we allowed to wear shorts to the Gurdewara

Would you want to see Guru Nanak with shorts on? We should make effort to dress appropriately at Guru ghar for our Guru.

Was Banda Singh Bahadur good or bad as he was criticised for wrongdoings?

A person may be 99% correct but we just look at that 1%. Only Guru is perfect but there's not many brave Singhs like Baba Singh Bahadur out there.

Is it bad that I get more bir rass from listening to tracks eg dharam seva some of the tigerstyle ones eg dummaliyan wale and son of a sardar?? When I do paat I get a sense of oness rather than bir rass but singhs of old were different in this way I think??

Try some Dasam Bani for Bir Rass - Chandi di Vaar, Akaal Ustat etc.

Is it okay for u to take off your khanda kirpan to play basketball and then when I put it back on I just do aardas and ask for foregivness

I heard the word "Shaheed" is a quranic term which means a martyr of Allah. Doesn't this mean that all sikh shaheedis are martyrs of Allah?

This is for the person who has joint problems and asked about taking supplements like fish oil. You can get your required omega-3,6 and 9 from vegetarian capsules (they use flax-seed which is high in omega's). No need to take the fish oil, there are vegan/vegetarian alternatives.

How to always keep pyaar for Guru Sahib? I find that when I go to camps and samagams, I am so inspired but after a while the effect starts to wear off. How to always keep that love and inspiration?

Very important to keep regular Sangat if possible, and make sure we keep boosted with our Nitnem.
