Some of the color way names are curious. Like how did you guys come up with hulk smash fade? It's far from the typical hulk smash (as it seems to me). And what about camp caribou and 28 stories?

Gotta give props to the brain. It just does good things sometimes, don't always know how though.

How long does the average yoyo take to design and make from first deciding to make a new throw to release?

No such thing as average...some come together really quickly (days), some take longer to get dialed-in (months).

Yeti, why did you decide to go plastic instead of all metal? Too Chief for ya? ;)

I tend to be pretty rough on metal....plastic seemed like it might be a better option for my giant, clumsy hands.

Depends entirely on your tastes. Puffin 2 is probably more optimized for horizontal and plane-breaking stuff, but Jensen has proved you can do plenty of that just fine on the WM2 is you're a baller like he is.

What are the big difference between the OG avalanche and the new avalanche?

The differences are visually unnoticeable, but the difference in play is very noticeable! The response area has been carved out to accept Snow Tires instead of flowable, and the weight distribution has been changed. Visibly, you probably can't tell the difference. Play wise, if you tried them both side-by-side we are 99% sure you would overwhelmingly prefer the new one!

If gnar2 isn't on the schedule to be made again, doesn't that mean you've retired it? Or is it just you don't know when the next batch will be? I really want one! They look so cool!

We usually have 2-3 models scheduled out in advance...it's not discontinued, it's just not in as high of a demand as other models that we make more of or make more frequently.

Will you guys ever sell the John Higby wood art with one half of a CLYW return top? totally authentic and good because the yoyo half could be fools gold.

Maybe Higby will make some more! We don't have any more Fools Gold at the moment, though.
