Don't take this the wrong way, but was Herding Cats called Herding Cats because trying to get a yoyoer to play Kendama is like herding cats?

It was called herding cats because trying to get a group of kendama players to be decisive and achieve certain simple tasks like getting in a car to go to lunch is a lot like "herding cats". They are so invested into the toy that the rest of the world can wait. Return toppers are like this too but I found it even more prevalent with kendama. - Charles

Charles! For me the Bonfire video with you and Jensen is one of the coolest yoyo videos out there! So awesome to watch! About that freestyle you are doing there - would something like that just pop outta your mind while playing around or did you actually 'practice' that? Need more videos of you two!

I definitely planned that out. I wish I could just pop that out of nowhere!
Thanks dude,
- Charles

what are the pros and cons of stable yoyos? (not directing this at any of your yoyos)

Keep in mind that these are my subjective opinions and it's also impossible to separate return tops into two categories of stable and non stable. There are so many other qualities that come into play to distinguish a throw from one to the next: however, I will make the broad generalizations for the purpose of this answer.
Pros:
- Long spin times.
- Very forgiving, makes tricks easier.
- Makes horizontals easier.
- Moves in certain ways and inspires certain tricks that come from a stable yoyo.
Cons:
- Can be more heavy/clunky on a throw.
- Chances are that the shape required for solid yoyos are not so good for magic drops, rejections, and regenerations.
- By being forgiving and making tricks easier it can actually stagnate your technical development and effect your execution and style. Like if you learn to do a kickflip on a piece of hardwood, then you're gonna be able to do a kickflip on any skateboard that exists. Jensen learned horizontals on a wooly marmot 1. Have you tried horizontals on that yoyo? not so easy...
- It moves in certain ways that will not inspire certain tricks that other yoyos would.
- Often lacks the cloud like soft feeling of a floaty yoyo with an evenly spread out weight distribution.
I'm probably missing some stuff,

Chuck, what do you do when you can't think of any new tricks to do

I take a break. Go do something else. But i dunno man, you don't have to come up with new tricks. Just do what's fun for you. That happens to be the thing that interests me the most, but if you like other aspects of the toy that's dope too. - Charles

Didn't plan on trying it again, but didn't know if you had ever tried it.

When you said, "They're being anodized now. Probably another 3 - 4 weeks. -Steve" Does that mean, the ano'ing will take 3-4 weeks then another couples weeks for assembly then some extra time to send it out to the sellers? or 3-4 weeks until the stores start sellings?

Anodizing, then assembly, testing, packaging, soliciting retailers, shipping to retailers, release date, shipping to customers....that chunk of the process will be around 3 - 4 weeks. Maybe more, maybe less, it's really hard to control time lines when you have to depend on so many different people to get your product out the door. -Steve

For the person who asked what Yoyo ayuma uses for 4a he uses the Deneb from adegleyoyos!

Thanks! -Steve

what is a wooden yoyo like? I'm getting one and i'm not sure what to think of it.

Well, it's very woodeny. Not very good for opening bottles, but good at floating in water. -Steve

How much will the yeti bags be?

They only exist on Ask.fm so far, so it's not something we even know that we're going to do. So, obviously, no price. -Steve

Do you know if slusny.net have ordered any orca's?

The Orca first release will only be available at CLYW.ca. -Steve

How are the pizza shirts rn⁉︎

They're finishing up at the printer now. Should be done in a week, hopefully the patches are done at the same time! -Steve

Totally in support of the "get better, yeti" bags, but a word of caution. Onedrop did a "modder fodder" kit and got burned when people started selling them as OD "prototypes," and OD had to start giving customer support for them. Make sure to mark them!

How did it go from "GOOD LUCK" as in "good luck making a decent return top out of these parts" to "Get Better"? Yeti isn't sick, ha ha ha.
But yeah, noted. -Steve

Good luck yeti bag awesome idea. Now people will know how hard it is assemble yetis.

Yeah, but while some people will get one (maybe even more) fully playable Yetis, there are others who will get a bag of parts that yield one mediocre or downright terrible return top. So I'm not so sure we want to do that, because no matter how much we explain it, people are still going to he hella bummed if they don't end up with one good return top out of it. -Steve

have susny.net ordered any orca's?

The first run of Orcas will be available only direct from CLYW.ca. -Steve

can you explain to me what this good luck yeti bag thing is?? thx

It's an idea that I had, that everyone is now freaking out about. Someone was asking about Yetis, I was explaining all the problems with them, and I jokingly said we should just sell a bag of parts, stamp "GOOD LUCK" on the front, and sell them cheap. Now, no one will leave me alone about it which should teach me a valuable lesson about keeping my mouth shut. ;) -Steve
