I dont understand the set point theory like pre-ed I was on the low end of the healthy BMI range and ate whatever whenever, however I feel like if I recover on things like 3000 calories wont I just go over that set point? Isnt that how people get obese by consuming to many calories and that:/?

Why is 2000 too little? I feel like anymore and I'll gain sooo much because my metabolism is slow and my set point is quite high

I'm confused, I'm maintaining a weight restored body (bmi 20.7 as of last week) on 2000 calories and I still count...? 2500 would probably make me gain and I don't need to gain more.
If you don't have hunger cues and maintain on exactly 2000 you are NOT physically recovered.
But my BMI is already 21

I can't open up to my therapist it just feels so awkward and I am always scared that she's going to judge me. But i don't have anyone else to talk so how do I change this and talk about my feelings with my therapist (or anybody)
