Does the concept and practice of democracy embody false beliefs regarding reality? What are they (aspects of reality like peoaple, property, equality, etc.)? (And: What's is the general problem with false beliefs regarding reality? Is there something they all share, like similar consequences?)
It does, the clearest is the (occasional) rejection of the iron law of oligarchy as a consistent law and trend. The other is the notion that bad votes and votes based on bad information "cancel out" rather than mutually magnifying and reinforcing their stupid qualities. Another is simply the notion that democracy is a stable system for a very large nation in the long term. I could go on.
They all share being false, and creating friction where people's misconceptions of reality bump into actual reality. Over time, this friction does things like cause our economy and society to break down.
