Have you spent money on AKB product content? Do you collection member's photo/item?

I have spent way too much on AKB stuff. I don't collect the monthly sets but I still buy pics from cds if I like them. For example, I have full senbatsu sets of Flying get, Gingham Check, etc. I mostly spend money on the Dvd/bluray releases now, oshi towels, goods from the AKB shop, etc.

Describe your greatest memory as an AKB fan. Same question for your worst memory in the fandom.

Best – Meeting Yukirin & her fans at HS Events, seeing Hebirote & Heart Ereki performances in person, Worst – I was gonna say none but then there was that time when I took a public beating on wrapup~

Newbie in the fandom here! lol the 36th single has a limited and regular edition, do you know the difference between the two?

Limited version comes with a national handshake event ticket whereas the regular edition comes with a bonus picture. Both version contain a Election voting ticket.

Yeah that's what I loved from her,the personality. Ah what ashamed. Last year I was actually going to attend her 3rd concert, too bad I didn't win the lottery lol

If my vacation to Japan was delayed by 2 weeks, I had a chance to attend her 3rd solo live but such as life~

Do you think Yukirin has a legitimate chance to be 1st in the upcoming sousenkyou?

Fans would have to double the amount of votes compared to last year for there to be a chance so realistically, the chance ain't high.

waa no wonder she's entitled as the queen of handshake lol. Are you going to attend this year's shamekai event?

I like Yukirin's style, personable & not over the top, she will listen and respond. No, I will not be attending this year's shamekai. I did go to the 1830m one but lost out on the pictures.

You just translate Yukirin's Mobame? Do you translate her blog?

There used to be someone else that translates Yukirin's blog on a regular basis so I only translated her Mobame. Mobame is short so I can do them very quickly. I have started translating some of her important blog posts.

Have you ever handshake'd with her? And if you do,what was she like in personal?

Yes, I have handshaked with Yukirin a few times. She's very personable, will give you full attention from the time you enter the booth till you leave. She can be quite animated like you see on TV, her reactions are always cute. She will try her best even when she wasn't feeling well. After awhile, she remembers you. She remembered me a week later, though I was wearing the same shirt which is a moose with a Canadian flag so that might memorable enough for her. LOL. You can my read latest handshake report with Yukirin from October here: http://www.kashiwagiyukirin.com/2013/11/04/1650/

I am pretty much surprise though. So how long have you been in this fandom? And since when did you finally realized that yukirin is your oshi?

River got me to notice AKB so around Fall of 2009. A combination of AKBingo, Majisuka & performances really steer me towards Yukirin. By Fall 2010, Yukirin was definitely my #1 girl!

So... You're a girl? I really thought you were a boy ._.

Yes, I'm a girl! People tend to be surprise when they find out~ (^-^;

what does your boyfriend think of AKB48?

The last guy I was with liked kpop so that relationship didn't last lol

Out of curiosity, have you ever sent a gift / fan letter to Yukirin?

Short answer is no. I have started several letters but never actually finish them. I keep saying I'll send her something but so far nothing.

What is the last thing you downloaded onto your computer?

Kashiwagi Yuki Birthday wedding performance on Music Fair

How would your fandom be different if you were a dude?

My route to the AKB fandom would have been very different. I probably would have been into female idols at a young age and not Johnnys. Sailormoon would not be the reason how I got into Japanese everything.

It seems that there are a lot of AKB48 fans (and of associated sister groups) in Canada. Do you all hang out or organise get togethers sometimes?

Canada is pretty big and fans are pretty spread out across the country. I do think some fans got together last year at Anime North though. I've met a few people in the area only because they were buying pictures off me. LOL

is SUB48 dead? Looking at Aidol and their very very active staff and community (more than 1400 voters for their latest Vote contest), SUB48 is looking quite weak. What happened to the staff? Are you willing to take part to the Stage48 project (the newsite)

Life happened. We are still releasing stuff, not a lot but here and there. Some staff lost interest in 48 group. And mainly, when we first started, most of the staff was still in school, but now most are in the work force. Priorities change and translating is not high on the list after a full day of work. SUB48 was never intended to be a community or anything. Most of the staff lay low in the fandom. As a group though, we're still pretty active on IRC. lol
The overseas 48 Fandom has grown quite a bit. More and more people are getting involved with translating and subbing. It's a great thing! It doesn't matter which sub group or individual translator are providing the subs, the overall objectives are same. By providing the translation, the hope is that it will increase your interest in the girls or the group as a whole.
There isn't much info on the new website yet so I prefer not to comment on it.

How did you come to like Yukirin? And do you have any interest in any of the other sister groups?

Liking Yukirin was a combination of River, AKBingo and Majisuka 1. She's been my oshimen from the beginning. I do keep an eye on all the sister groups but I don't follow all the members like I do with AKB48 girls. So I do have a general interest in the other groups. It's just that my interest in AKB far exceeds the rest.
