don't you literally starve yourself in ramadan? how can you do it for so long..
Ramadan is a holy month for all Muslims! I assure you, we don't starve ourselves. We eat before dawn, fast until dusk, and break it after. So, we do get food in our system everyday. Besides, that is not what Ramadan is about. It's just a special month for Muslims to remember Allah and refrain from doing bad things like lying, cheating, fighting, etc. It teaches us patience. And of course, there is the element of putting ourselves in the shoes of those who aren't blessed with food, so we realize all that is given to us, and be thankful for it.
