For you personally, how do you control thoughts? :). for example, if you have a bad thought how do you control your thoughts? :)
Hmm, well there's always the idea that if you remove the bad thought, you should replace it with something good. I guess, I am used to getting rid of bad thoughts. I've done it a lot so the more you do it the more natural it becomes. You just have to pick something ahead of time you'll shift your thoughts to. A song, a quote, anything that is like a go to when a bad thought arises. Most of all, pray for help.
the boys are in my stake and they made it for us to show at girls camp (:
that's super cute :)
Why are you so polygamist? I think that is pretty disgusting.
Why are you so ignorant hahaha. I'm actually not married and I don't have twenty husbands, but if I did I'd make them clean my pool
How are you doing today? Looks like you've been on the front-lines and could use a respite. What's your favorite scripture that calms you down or brings you peace?
I'm actually pretty good. I love answering questions, it just gets overwhelming, cause I actually got a LOT. But, hmmm I love so many scriptures. I guess I just always have it come to mind "Believe in God, believe that he is" (which is from Mosiah 4:9)
Why didn't god reveal the word of wisdom until Emma Smith complained about the tobacco smoke and spit?
God makes revelations at the time the people need it. The reason polygamy was practiced in the church is because it was Gods will for the church. The women and children needed to be taken care of. Now that is not necessary. God doesn't change, he stays the same. But our needs as people change and revelation comes about through God. The time for the revelation of the Word of Wisdom was then.
More than half of the U.S. population firmly believes, has the religions. So it must have something special in this religion. If you really want to know if this is true, pray.Pray with real intent, and you'll see. What you try to do is to persuade us of something for us, for sure.
I've prayed, and I know with all my heart it's true. But not only that, I've seen how true it is throughout my life.
Try, ask questions, continued. Ever we fall. And we'll find the answers to all your questions.
You're poetic. I like poetry. A lot.
Last I checked anyone can be conditioned to do anything.
I'm not Pavlov's dogs. I haven't been conditioned by the sound of a bell to believe what people tell me.
Nice answer, I guess.
thanks? I guess haha.
IDGAF about lds.org, I want your personal answer.
Okay, well gee I will give you my second rate answer haha. It's not as good. So as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we believe that everyone is equal. All races, genders, ages etc.The way I best understand it is that it was a practice that started in the early church that the origin of such practice isn't clear, and basically the leaders of the church believed that there needed to be revelation from God about it. And there was, in 1978.Honestly, I get this is a confusing concept. And I'm seriously not the most knowledgeable person on it. The way I see it, the church opposes racism in any form and today has no racial policy. That's what matters to me.
Why does your religion tell the members to abstain from Tea and Coffee when they both have powerful antioxidants that can protect you from cancer?
While some people believe those have positive physical affects, there are also people who believe it has negative affects. However, the point of the word of wisdom is less about the actual thing, and more about showing obedience to God. Showing him that you'd sacrifice anything for him. Some aspects are a double edged sword, with obvious benefits, but there are other benefits and blessings down the road that are unseen.
Time is the one thing that changes people. You can offer somebody money to kill someone and they will not do it but if you keep trying eventually they will crack.
Not if they're me. Last I checked you don't know me. :)
