do u know any novels that resembles miss peregrine's home for peculiar children?

Not to my knowledge, love. :( Miss Peregrine's unique in itself, and I don't think anything can be compared to it. :')

Hey! about the Indonesian novels, I'd like to recommend any books by Dewi 'Dee' Lestari. But to be specific, Supernova the series. It's soooo good. Moreover, the first book of the series (Supernova: Ksatria, Puteri dan Bintang Jatuh) is going to be adapted into a movie this year.

^^^ Thanks for the lovely recommendation, dear! :)

Where do you download e-books and are those pdf or???????

I've answered this alrdy, scroll down anon :)

Which paper towns cover do you like the best? I want to buy a copy, but i am still in a big dilemma

Buy the cheapest one, because honestly, covers don't matter. The content does. :)

best e-book?

I think every book is downloadable... so I shall speak of e-novellas.

YEAH.

You love Book Thief! And Between Shades if Gray too♡ Omg. Have you read The Story Teller (Jodi Picoult)? It also gives me the same "OHMYFEEEELS" like what I got with those previous two. ;)

I haaave not! But just added it to my reading list. Thank you love. xx

More scifi recs for the anon: Alienated by Melissa Landers and Lux saga by Jennifer L. Armentrout and for YA thriller/suspense, you should try Don't Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout (i'm a JLA hardcore fan if it's not obvious already lol)

^^^ (thanks love you're so sweeeeeet xx)

You said earlier that your closest friends speak English. Do you mind if I ask you what school you attend?

Springfield International. :) (pls dont stalk me okie)

Hello, I wonder if u could tell me where did you buy your harry potter books UK version? I've checked periplus, but they only have the US version. Thanks.

I believe Kinokuniya has a few different versions of the series. If I'm not mistaken, Gramedia should have it as well. Mine was a hand-me-down from my mother (who bought it 10ish years ago), and she bought it from Gramedia. xx

hello :) will you recommend me any young adult horror/thriller books? :)

I don't think I can think of any YA ones, but I highly recommend The Millennium Trilogy. It's very graphic, but it's so very, very good.

I wonder how could your english is very very very good? Where did you learn english? Could you tell me how to learn english well? I tried to read a novel in english but I feel like I'm slowly dying bc I don't really understand the word

My dad spoke english to me ever since I was a baby (I suppose), along with Chinese. I think I adapt very quickly to different languages, so when I spent 4 years in Singapore, my english was crafted even more. And when I came back, well, let's just say that my closest friends speak English (almost exclusively). I'm an auditory learner, so listening to people speak (proper) English strengthens my own. You should surround yourself with those who speak English, and Youtube is your best source for that. (Especially the Brits, their accent is lovely). Then move on to books. I suggest reading ebooks, and some apps can give you the definition of the word you just highlighted, so that's a wonderful learning method.
Good luck anon, you can do it! :))

I wonder, have you ever tried to write like an author? If yes how's that doing? for I know you love reading. Perhaps you have any tips from your experience in writing to share? (if yes. tho i bet it's a yes haha) and your account is perf, so helpful, very informative ;)

I have, yes! (you know me so well, anon dear.) I actually wrote a chapter to a story that I planned a week ago, but I don't know if I should/want to continue it or not. I think my best advice for you is something I can never take for myself - publish & learn. Don't be afraid of your ideas and words, because how can you be better at something unless you actually try, right? I can never do that. I've always been so afraid of criticism, especially in writing, because I take pride in the language. I love English, I love reading, I love words and how they flow on pages and make people who scan through them feel certain things. It's magical - the experience. And I just don't want to disappoint people when I deliver MY words.
So please, write. Not for people, though. Write because you love it, and because you love words, and because you believe in stories and characters and that fiction is NOT JUST FICTION. Fiction is simply another reality.
Write for yourself. Publish it, for yourself. I challenge you that, and go to sleep, anon! It's late. ;)

Hi. Um. I. Ugh, okay. I actually got a problem. The problem is. I'm don't really like to read books, but I'm trying to be. And it's quite hard. Because I hated to read since I was little, even its just one paragraph. I feel like I want to finish it fastly but... I can't.

Heeeello! I don't blame you. But asking me for advice is the first step - shows initiative, me likey! Don't take reading as a chore, don't. If your first language is Bahasa, pick up a book in Bahasa. Pick up an easy read, maybe something by Raditya Adika. He writes funny novels, right? I think those would be easier to get through. Take it slow. Try one paragraph at a time. Don't think about the action of 'reading', think of the words, the characters, listen to the voice in your head narrating it back to you.
If your first language is English, pick up a lighthearted book as well. Maybe try Ellen's 'Seriously I'm Kidding'? Or just something you feel interests you. If you like cars or beauty, search up books that talk about them. Your first goal is to get your interests spiked, not to get into reading just yet.
Once you conquer through a paragraph, you'll be reading a page, a chapter, and BOOM. Your first book.
Don't rush it. Never rush something you want to love. Savour it. Don't force it.
Reading is beautiful. It's like watching the television except your mind draws their own characters. And eventually, you'll find that they're so much more beautiful than the ones you see on your TV/Laptop Screen.
I really hope this helped. If you need anymore advice or have anymore questions, I'm right here. :)
*p.s. you just read through 6 paragraphs. give yourself a chocolate. ;)*
