Advice for people coming into high school?
Be yourself. There's nothing I regret more than being in grade 9,10 &11 than trying to prove "myself" to others while actually being someone I'm not. This year I have realized that the only way you are going to be happy is if you find people who appreciate you for who you are. You will have more laughs, more memories, and more opportunities if you are not worried about what others think about you. So what if you can't get your dream guy because you aren't pretty enough, funny enough or smart enough for them? You will be enough for somebody despite your flaws. Don't let having a boyfriend or not having a boyfriend control whether you are happy or not in high school. Everyone wants to have a "high school sweetheart" and many do not have that chance to be one. but honestly don't worry about it, have fun with your friends, go out on Friday night & don't be afraid to put yourself out there. It's my final year in high school and I'm amazed at how quickly my high school experience has been going. I can only imagine how quickly my senior year will go. It took me a long ass time to figure out who I was in high school and honestly maybe I haven't even figured that out yet. But find what makes you happy because life is too short and so is high school. Also... Don't be afraid to show school spirit. At those pep rallies, cheer. Yes, a few people will make fun of you for it, but you won't get anything out of your high school experience unless you put something into it! I know not everyone has a fantastic high school experience but hopefully these tips help you make it a little better ? be yourself & hope for the best hunny's
