Did you ever have to work two jobs? What would your advice for people that do?
I worked two jobs for years. My advice would be to keep your calendar straight so you don't mix up where you're supposed to be. Also, get rest when you can.

It's kind of scary to know they let anyone like this be a police officer
Yup. We pay officers very little for a dangerous job, and don't train them properly. Hence, the bar for entry has to be lowered to let in people who would put up with shit work like that. As a result, you get bad cops. It's a vicious cycle.
