Also when did you get your puppy?

Our parents initially told us as a christmas present but we had to wait until the summer to actually get him because both of my parents are teachers so it made sense to get him in the summer and then have the like 3 months to train him and stuff before we had to go bak to school

So how did you do that?

We started with giving him access to just the kitchen and our laundry/mud room because thats where his kennel and toys and food and water bowl were and then gradually we opened more of the house to him until now he basically runs the whole house lol

Why did you put baby gates up i dont think we have those

We did that because we were told to not let the whole house be available at one time like because he was only 8 weeks old and just a puppy so we were told to use those to limit him to like one or two rooms until he got older and bigger and could explore more. Cause puppies are really really really really curious and love to explore.

I'm getting a yellow lab puppy in like 2 weeks and i wanted to know like what are some things you did to your house to make it safer for your dog?

Well we were told to take anything that he could get into away so we did that and we put baby gates up so he couldnt just wonder all over the house uhmm and we put toys and pee pads and stuff all over so he felt at home
