Part of why they kept away from humans... and from what I've been hearing lately, when my mom brought me here she brought a human disease back with her that ravaged the entire population. For all I know, I might be the only one left

Oh Harbinger can die, they just don't die of age. An injury that would kill a human would kill a Harbinger unless a lifeweaver was at their side right away. and Harbinger were very sensitive to illness, an outbreak of the human common cold could wipe out entire communities
