Thank YOU! I needed this. I wanted to post this pic anyway. It has been several, several months I have logged in here. I am very busy with my part time Package Handler job at UPS & busy with my full time Service Writer job at Walmart. Both jobs are highly exhausting & strenous. It is not easy to get up at 3:30am, 4am. I can get 18 hours to 22 hours per week at UPS. I get a minimum of 37 hours to a max of 40 hours at Walmart. For those wondering why i work a 2nd job. It is not nor was not because UPS pays me crappy. My pay rate at UPS right now is at $28/hr, because of the new contract put in place in August. It went up from 24 to 28. I recieved an extra $1.50 for longevity service ($.50 for every 5 years i have served) and 2.75 for the normal pay raise Economy is bad. Prices are high & living in San Diego Ca., is expensive. Gas prices are absolutely ridiculous here. Plus last year I had over $2,000 in rent debt. UPS pay was getting me by on my essential bills. Food, gas & cell phone. Plus i had 2 cars, i always had 1 in the shop & the repairs were expensive. So i had to pay the shop which left me dry for rent so i got way behind on rent & my best friend was lenient. So when i had over $2K in rent debt i was not getting anywhere paying that down. I got a 2nd job which helped me knock that out within a month. I have kept the job all this year because i still need to make a strong profit & they have absolutely gotten used to me doing a fantastic job. I filled a service writer slot, couple people quit last year. Right now we do have a couple other service writers. But i am the rankng service writer, so to be the ranking face of the ACC at Walmart is rather an honor. To help people is an honor. They come to Walmart for quailty but inexpensive service. I am not perfect but i do my best & I DO strongly desire to provide phenomenal, top shelf customer service. I listen to my customers & when it is hot, I offer them free cold bottled water. Yesterday I did replace two low beam headlights on 2 different vehicles & was happy to. I was successful. The 2011 Chevy Tahoe headlight WAS NOT easy. Was not easy to get it out & to disconnect the bulb. But once the new bulb was in & i made sure it did light up, I was so happy i did a lot of good. Then i did a 2011 Toyota Pruis. I was so happy I was successful for that. As for pic, I took it at UPS this morning in the break room. I was informed this morning, someone was making chocolate kisses available yesterday in honor of Veterans Day & they also said "Thanks to all Veterans who have served." I was thanked as well. I waved it off because i did not serve in the military & i will not steal valor. I really did go to navy boot camp in 2002, but did not make it past 2 weeks. (I was there 1 month & 10 days total). However i was still thanked for being a UPS veteran. It is true I am a highly knowledgable, skilled & very productive Package Handler veteran, I do handle 99% of packages i handle, like a total boss.
