i really want to join cross country! are the people on the team nice? do you have to like try out and i haven't done too much long distance so what can i do to help myself get better with long distance?
just go for it, do it! there isn't one person on the team who isn't supportive. no you don't have to try out! there's always a place for someone and anyone. but the season is almost coming to half point so if I were you I would wait till next season! to help your long distance start with a fair amount of time lets say 15 minutes and go out jogging for that amount of time, then 15 minutes back. every time you go on a "Long run" add five more minutes and sooner then you know it you will be running for more than a hour going farther and farther! it takes time
