Did you like his look in the portrait of a america family and smells like children tours?
I loved that look. All the vinyl and the lipstick and hair everywhere. His look advertised exactly what he was, like a coral snake's pattern. He looked like the best worst idea ever, like a poisoned lollipop in your favorite flavor that you were willing to risk injury or death for just to have a taste. He was those rickety wooden mini-coasters at a weekend carnival that you knew was missing bolts and would possibly fall apart on the first hill, but you bought a ticket anyway. He was like getting a hard-on when a bully beats you for being gay, he was razorbladed candy threats on Halloween, he was ghost stories, he was neighborhood cult rumors, he drove the white windowless kidnap van. If you desperately wanted a thing and were afraid you would get it and were afraid you wouldn't, he was that delicious stomach-knotting ache incarnate. He was reckless and terrifying and exciting and new and in my eyes he burned like no one had ever burned.
