Why do some people look at depressed individuals as “useless”? If someone is called useless for being depressed and can’t seem to function properly as a result of depression, do they still serve a purpose? Asking as a depressed myself.

I have never met anyone who looks at people with depression as “useless” & the people that do that have no understanding of depression. Everyone has a purpose regardless of depression, anxiety, or stress. Depression doesn’t take away the importance of an individual.
