Please don't ever retire the chief! I still really need to get one

The Chief isn't going anywhere. In fact, we just finished assembling another run. :) -Steve

can you guys show me an inside pic of the yeti, kindoff like a chipped piece showing the glass interior or a image

It's not a glass interior. When we say it's a "glass filled polymer" that means that incredibly tiny bits of glass are used as a binding agent in the plastic itself. If you Google "glass filled plastic" you'll find a lot more info. -Steve

have you asked yuuki spencer to be on your team yet? what did he say?And why he say no to CLYW?!!

Yuuki is doing his own thing these days. He's amazing, but you've got to *want* to be on a team and that doesn't seem to be where his head is these days. -Steve

I ordered my puffin 2 from yoyoraven. I think I'm approaching two weeks from when I ordered it (I live in the US). Are they a reliable and safe company to purchase from?

YoYoRaven is a great store, but ordering from Europe to the US can sometimes take a while. The store is owned by VIlmos Zoltan Kiss, and he's a great dude. -Steve

Everybody asks about more yoyos at a cheaper price, but that's not you. There's an excitement to searching for that limited throw you're after, or knowing your yoyo is one of only ten. Personally, I love the size of your company now! Seriously people, in the grand scheme of things, what's $120?

Well, it IS something we're working on. But the thing is...what CLYW considers "more" isn't anywhere near the size of production runs for someone like Duncan or YoYoFactory.
We've got some ideas on how to make CLYW return tops a little easier for our fans to get but don't worry...they'll still be pretty limited. -Steve

I have a question about making tricks. Is it better to try and make as many tricks as possible In a day or two to try and get out as many concepts and new ideas as possible? Or is it better to try something new and work at that one trick for a while? I really want to make better tricks

It's better to create at your own pace. For some people that means jamming out concepts quickly, for others it's working on one thing for a while.
Oddly, I actually do both. As you can see from 365yoyotricks.com I have no problems just jamming out small new ideas all the time...but then some of those tricks are moves that I spent months noodling around with before I felt like they were ready to film. Really it's just a matter of finding out what works for you, and letting your creativity happen at its own pace. -Steve

How much heads up do you guys give before new releases? Will we know a week before the day they drop? Like the guy below I want a campfire and it will be my first time buying a new one. Would hate to miss out

Usually a week+.
New Bonfires are releasing November 13th worldwide! 10 pm EST / 7 pm EST.

do you think the people who constantly ask over and over again about the release and price of the YETI read the answers? I mean do you think one answer would be enough? I know you appreciate their interest but enough is enough!!

Yeah, it's a little frustrating sometimes when people ask the questions without ever reading the answers. But hey, that's the gig right? -Steve

2 part questions for the timeframe for gnarwhal 2: 1. Bonfires then Chiefs then Gnarwhal 2s? 2. Any idea of what month it'll drop? I'm guessing jan/feb

1. Yes.
2. Gnarwhals just shipped from our anodizer and are en route to assembly. So might be in time for Christmas! -Steve

why is 28 stories called that?

The name (and the actual colorway) are taken from this book. A portion of the proceeds from these return tops is donated yearly to Doctors Without Borders, a charity that we like to support. This is something that Chris started doing at the very beginning of things, and it's no small coincidence that DWB is one of the charities that I support yearly as well. -Steve

Have you heard about GN Yoyo Co? Maybe you should help them with your professional opinion.

My professional opinion is that I've never heard of them. So I Googled them, and now my professional opinion is that they haven't made anything yet, so it's pretty hard to have a professional opinion about them. In my professional opinion, once they have an actual company going, I'll be happy to give them my professional opinion on it. ;) -Steve

So I was watching Fantasia 2000 with my daughter earlier, and there's totally a scene with a flamingo Yo-Yoing and pissing the other ones off because of it. Are you familiar!?!?

Yep. I remember it being a big deal to return top players at the time that Disney actually paid a player (I don't remember who) do do a bunch of tricks on camera so the animators had real return top play to model from. -Steve

how long do 2 yoyos take to ship from yoyoexpert to canada? i can't wait!!

Should only take a week or two, depending on customs. Thanks for your support! -Steve

Who came up with the idea of the clyw logo

The original antlers logo concept was Chris. I *think* that Boyd came up with the idea for the pickaxes, and then Paul Escolar actually drew them. -Steve

tell zach that he needs more horizontals... cuz all the cool kids are doing it... and zach is a cool kid

Oh, I think Zach is doing just fine on his own with whatever tricks he wants to do, ha ha. -Steve
