Is it possible to be “based” in other parts of Finland too? I’d love to apply, but unfortunately, I’ll need to move to Oulu for few years due to family reasons

Hi! Living in another city than Helsinki or Vantaa is possible. It is anyway important to consider that the flights will be operated from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. The work also involves standby shifts, during which you must be prepared to report to work on one hour’s notice.

Hello! How do i get a residence permit prior to applying? I am from the USA, but wanted to apply for the cabin crew position. However, my understanding is that in order to get a residence permit, one must have a job first. Is this accurate, and is it at all possible to get it once moving forward?

Hi! Unfortunately in the cabin crew recruitment we require a valid residence permit (with no restrictions of employment) to Finland when applying to the position.

If I'm from EU should i get residence permit first or i can aplly before getting it?

Hello, I saw your comments that Finnair requires a valid residence permit for an emplyed person. Then if I don't have a valid residence permit when I apply, is it okay to have a valid residence after passing all the recruitment? Also is there an age restrictions?

Hello, I interrupted my secondary education to work full time in an international setting. Does 20 years work experience count for something? And if not, what kind of vocational training would be of advantage in order to become a cabin crew member? Thank you

Hi! One of the requirements is completed secondary education. However, there are no requirements which secondary education should be completed.

Moi!

How many leave days in a year you will get as a Finnair full time cabin crew?

Hi! The annual holiday is based on the collective agreement. Employees earn days of holiday by working during the holiday credit year (1 April - 31 March). The annual holiday is accrued so that employees are entitled to two working days of leave for each month in which the employment relationship has been in force. In employment relationships that have lasted for more than a year, the employee is entitled to 2,5 days for each month. The accrued summer holiday will be available to use in the next holiday period and must be taken in the holiday season (2 May - 30 September). The remainder of the holiday (winter holiday) must be used no later than by the beginning of the following holiday season.

Hi Finnair, I have some questions and I hope that you can help. When will you accept job applications for the Cabin Crew again? If I already have the cabin crew attestation and get accepted will my training only be 9 days (initial training) and not 8 weeks? Thank you, Best Regards

Hi! We have the recruitment open at www.finnair.com/jobs where you can leave your application. If you have a EASA approved cabin crew attestation (initial done in EU area), you don’t have to attend to the initial training part of the training which is about 8 days, so the training will be about 6,5 weeks.

Mikä on yleisin lentoemännän eläkeikä? Kuinka pitkiä työuria Finnairin lentoemännillä yleensä on?

Hei! Eläkeikä on normaali eläkeikä (riippuu syntymävuodesta), tällä hetkellä 68 vuotta on yläikäraja lentotyössä.
