بعد قضاء ليلة القدر في مسجد مجاور للبحر، نزلت أنا و صديقي للسير على الشاطئ نستنشق هواء لا شك أنه أنظف قليلا من هواء المدينة، حيث كان نسيم الفجر البارد قد عزل عن أنوفنا رائحة مياه الصرف غير الصحي الكريهة! كانت الشمس لا تزال في غفوتها و الهلال لا زال أحدبا منيرا ! كنا نسير ولا نرى موضع أقدامنا، فاستعنا بضوء الهاتف المحمول ليدلنا إلى الطريق المفضي إلى الميناء. حينها كان قد تجاوز الكثير من الأرض ملقيا العشرات من القناديل الميتة على الشاطئ و سرطانات البحر الصغيرة شفافة اللون تتجمهر متفرجة و كأن البحر الغادر أشهر غضبه منتفضا على الجميع. بعد ربع ساعة تقريبا بدأت ملامح المدينة بالانكشاف ببطء بعد أن دخل وقت الشروق. أطفئنا لمبات هواتفنا فلم نعد بحاجة لها. رأينا البحر مضطربا و الأمواج مرتفعة على غير المعتاد! فنحن في فصل الصيف واعتدنا ان يكون البحر هادئا وقت الفجر. قبل الوصول إلى الميناء وجدنا مجموعة من الأصدقاء، كانو أربعةً و خامسهم غامر بحياته و دخل لمناطحة البحر ، تعمق بعض الأمتار! لم نأبه لهم و أكملنا طريقنا إلى الميناء . بعد دقائق قليلة وجدنا الشباب أنفسهم يركضون نحونا نحن والناس ممن كانو على الميناء و يصرخون مستنجدين " إلحقونا .. الشب غرق "! يقول أحدهم ان هذا الشاب فجأة رفع يديه و صار يصرخ "stiff.. stiff" ... أتت الشرطة البحرية و طاقم الضفادع البشرية و فرق الإنقاذ و محترفي السباحة والغوص و أخذوا يجوبوا مياه البحر باحثين عن الشاب الغريق دون جدوى .. مرت ساعات و إلى الان لا زال الغريق مفقودا ...
