I would catch them and imprisoned them. I would force them to work for me to repay for their crime of attempting robbery. And i would ask WHY. If i find out the person has good hearth and tried to steal to feed their starving family or stuff like that then i would send somebody (or go myself) and deliver golden egg to them but i would keep that person to work for me until i deem they repayed that egg. If they were stealing and didnt have good enough excuse then i would never free them...i wouldn't hurt anybody, at least not if it can be avoided but i would make damn sure that i don't tolerate criminals and that any attempt at theft in my house will end with severe consequences. Basicaly if i catch you stealing, i make you my slave but i wouldn't treat them as slaves were treated. When i say i would capture them and keep them i mean i would make them do stuff for me like chores (house chores for example) and give me pleasure (like reading me a story while i am doing something) etc. They wouldnt be harmed or starved and the "work" wouldnt be something so exploiting to be hurtfull like heavy physical work or sexual advantages or stuff like that. I consider myself as kind giant but also fair one who punishes bad actions/people. If people come to me and ask me for help/giving them golden egg then we can negotiate how much they need it and i decide what the cost of it is, but if they try to steal, the punishement becomes bigger than cost of golden egg because they were trying to go behind my back :)
