From someone with 30 years managing far worse than simple anger.
Medical should be last resort, not 1st.
1. If the source of your anger can't be reconciled, gotta think management. Sooo
2. Identify the things that anger you. Whatever you can cut out, do so.
3. Identify the things, outside drugs, that calm and relax you, and integrate as much as you can into daily routine.
4. Speaking of routines...sometimes ya gotta change your routine. From actions to those in your life, depending on your causes of anger.
Not sure if you're into meditation, but starting your day off with it, or at least something relaxing, is a must. Nothing pisses ya off more than a day that starts off wrong and keeps going wrong all day.
5. Breathing excercises. Slowly inhale through the nose just to point your lungs feel "tight. Hold for 5 seconds, slowly exhale through mouth. Repeat as necessary until you begin feeling the anger expelled with each exhale.
6. Walks or anything you can do to focus off the anger.
7. Get a punching bag. Whenever the rest isn't enough, beat the bag. Expels anger and ya get a workout.
8. No more than 3g weed per day. Especially if you normally toke, and alot more than 3g per day. Alot a people are chill after 10g, but they get nasty if they can't keep up those habits.

Saddly for anger I have no easy tricks. The best for me is to go on a run. But it can take hours. Not always available.
I mean that taking a 3h walk everytime someone is disrespectful is a bit time consuming.
