I enjoy writing about games and I believe I'm good at it. Is there a way I could start turning that in to a minor paying gig, or is that a foolish notion? (that is, does it take forever to get a paycheck in that medium, even a small one)

All depends on your talent, how many people you pester, and how lucky you are. I was lucky enough to get into it after just a couple weeks.

Have you tried the bitch fist yet?

I have not. As arrogant as I am, I don't think even I could take that on and be happy with the results.

Favorite Elder Scrolls game? Also, Favorite incarnation of the Doctor?

Probably Skyrim. Like the others, but Skyrim got my imagination in a way the other hadn't. Also, Tom Baker!

When will Jonathan Holmes accept that he is the One True Freaky Constantina and dance to Usher's Yeah for all eternity?

When we perform the Final Sacrifice.

Are you ever coming back to the UK in the near future? Us UK fans want a chance to see you!

I plan to at some point! Money and time stand eternally in my way.

I'm glad I made you grin. Tom Baker seems to cheer me up anyway. Oh, the foot would be eating you slowly, and no you can't defend yourself.

I'll eat the foot then.

if jonathan holmes could transform into anything (~*a la transformers*~) what would it be?

Two Jonathans, but smaller.

Where about in the UK did you grow up?

All over the place. Was moved around a lot as a kid. Erith, Bexley, Norfolk, Yorkshire, Wolverhampton, and lord knows where else.

I have a dream that someday there will be a Left 4 Dead mod replacing you as one of the survivors. If this happened, who would be the three you fight alongside?

It would have to be Jonathan, Conrad, and Willem Dafoe.

What advice do you have for someone thinking about getting into making videos like yours?

Find something nobody else is doing, even if it's technically *doing* what everyone else is doing, but delivered differently. There are a lot of untapped markets in online video, and finding something an audience didn't even know it wanted is the way to get ahead.

Have you ever believed in a higher power?

A little bit when I was a child, but I grew out of it fairly easily.

You didn't like or comment on a link I posted on your facebook. Should I take that as a personal offense?

No. It's either something I've seen (I often get linked ten times to the same thing, especially if it's related to Aliens, Willem Dafoe, or Trent Reznor) or is among so much other stuff I barely have time to check it out. Links are especially things I tend to gloss over due to time or repetition.

How are you getting on with Spotify? - Asks some dude from Spotify.

I like it enough to consider subscribing. Laziness and meanness are stopping me from doing it so far.

Are there any movies based on a book that you feel surpass their source material in terms of quality?

Most Stephen King shit. (I haven't even read his books, I am just being an asshole).

have you ever wanted to don a time machine and re-explore Holmes' anus?

I would do many things with a time machine.
And most of those things would involve a body part of Jonathan's.

Would you rather eat your own foot, or be eaten by your own foot?

It all depends. Would the foot be slowly chewing me to death, or would it be a quick swallow? Would I be able to defend myself? THIS IS ALL IMPORTANT STUFF!

What made you want to put your videos on The Escapist, as opposed to just making your own YouTube channel, or going to some other gaming site?

I don't "get" YouTube. I'm attempting to learn it with the new Now Bloody Playing series, but I still struggle to understand what makes people gravitate to certain things, or why videos I feel should be massive are not (and vice versa).
As far as choosing The Escapist specifically, I definitely wanted to see if I could turn video into a viable part of my job (I work mostly for love, but I gotta be making money off something if I can justify spending a whole day on it). I'd been in talks with GameTrailers, Machinima and The Escapist at various points, but it was The Escapist that seemed most interested in what I do and more "with" me in terms of what I wanted to do.
