I just said farewell to my best friend, brother from different set of parents, probably the only dude I'll ever feel genuine platonic love for... He's going back to his home country and will be staying in the States for living after that. I will miss him a lot. I can visit him I guess, but I think goodbyes are still more painful than dentists.
Have a great week ahead, Paul!

Hi, this is for my upcoming article, do you have any recommendation about Indonesian girls with cool feeds on Instagram? It could be about fashion, street style, art, or photography. Thanks :)

I don't know a lot of Indonesian girls in my instagram... For art, I'd probably recommend @tomashiba .

sudah lama tidak thought.fm :) what are your thoughts on this poem by Rita Dove? http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/quot-i-have-been-a-stranger-in-a-strange-land-quot/ and how did it make you feel?

This is my interpretation... So please take it with a grain of salt! (Real poetry analysis should include the author's background check, but I am not that fast at researching so let's leave that alone. Haha)
Even though it seems to allude to Adam and Eve, I think this poem is simpler than it seems. It seems that the woman in this poem is losing sight of what to do with her life, her purpose reduced to just existing (emphasized by the phrase "Being There") in the cycle of routines. Monotony can permeate our lives even when we are actually living prosperously (like Adam and Eve in Eden). So we can assume that this woman is living quite a fulfilled life, except that she's... bored. So she grows curious of things that seems to be out of her reach, and because they're out of her reach, they seem to be perfect. This is driving her crazy because it is forbidden (perhaps things that don't actually benefit her lifestyle, or brings bad reputation upon her). Meanwhile her partner (the "he" in this poem) has his hands full of his own stuff. So in the end I assume that she has explored the things that are forbidden to her, but in return she lost everything except her desire, which starts to weigh (like sin) on her.
I can sympathize with the person in this poem, I suppose? I like the idea of having a purpose, and monotony kills me quite often. It's also a lot about self-entitlement... Not necessarily healthy, but yeah... This person and I, we are both greedy in this term.
Thanks for sharing this poem with us! :D

Hi! :) If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake?

Because of fear and pride, for my case.
(I'm getting better at this being shameless thing, though.)

Has a book/film ever depressed you? Has the story and characters ever reached out to you so strongly that you mourn for them before anything happens to them?

Yes! That's one of the things that make good stories good.

Kak, what do you keep inside the pocket of your jeans?

I don't put anything inside my pockets because I don't like the feeling when I sat down. :( Restricts my movements and all that.

What's one habit you've always wanted to quit but but never succeeded?

I think I am naturally snarky and I tend to blurt out what I think before I can sugarcoat it. Brings me a lot more trouble than it's worth, but I still do it anyway...

hi! have you ever done any extreme sports? if yes, then, tell your experience, please? if no, then, which one would you like to try? thank you and have a nice day!

I don't really do sports... :| I like doing extreme water activities, like banana boat (it's not THAT extreme, LOL). But I don't think I am into pumping my adrenaline. xD Nice day to you too!

I really forgot to mention you an anime movie about this beautiful robot-human relationship titled 'Hal'. Have you watched this? You should if you haven't :)

What is the most unexpected thing that happened to you this week?

Getting a 4-hour masterclass for FREE with a senior artist. I have admired him for quite some years, and then I asked him for an advice regarding a project... I got more than what I expected? He basically invited me to his office and in those 4 hours I felt that my brain was blown to smithereens and reassembled with better components. I feel so indebted because he's a very experienced and well-known artist, and he practically benefited nothing from teaching an amateur like me. I won't mention names here because I don't want everyone to start bugging him for advice (he probably wouldn't mind, but I know how some people can be so naggy when it comes to this stuff) (I mean, look at tumblr.....).
Oh, and it's not even a lesson of drawing. He taught me how to THINK. I think that's a lot more precious than learning how to draw. You can practice how to draw. Thinking is a different kind of process altogether. :>

Top 10 worse movies you've ever seen in your opinion?

I usually don't remember them if they're bad, cause sometimes I won't even bother finish watching it. :|
In no particular order, and I judge this mainly from story and characterizations:
1. Frozen
2. Dear John (I didn't even finish watching, haha)
3. A Serbian Film (this one is purely subjective as I felt that I overestimated my tolerance for torment... I think I almost puked at one point at the movie. That did not leave a good memory. Hahaha)
4. Transformers 3
5. Amazing Spider-Man 2
6. The Last Airbender (T O L O N G)
7. Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (I feel so upset about this because the designs are gorgeous... it could have probably done better if they just remove the Final Fantasy branding from it)
8. Dead or Alive (I didn't finish watching this either)
9. Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (I don't know if this is counted?)
10. Alice in Wonderland (the Tim Burton one... I think it's mainly because of disappointment from my side, rather than the movie itself... I felt that the plot was quite shallow, but this was a very stunning movie visually)
Please take no offense! As Kyo have stated, this are all in my opinion. I remember most of these titles as "disappointing" rather than "bad". I rarely watch movies, and when I watch I want them to be fruitful, so if it's really "bad", I usually wouldn't even bother watching past the first 10 minutes.

May I join too.. Who/what fictional character do I remind you of?

resideriana’s Profile PhotoResi
I am not sure. xD;; I think I get better impression of what people are like after I meet them in real life, cause only then I can see the whole essence. :) (bukan modus ya ini :P)
