Because I enjoyed reading and translating it? Her blog was the most fun one of all the members anyway. Not gonna lie, Haruka's blog was very dull to work on. Personally, I had the most fun translating Chihara Minori's blog back in the days when she was burning kettles & losing remotes & stuff....

Bambino! isn't really about the food to be honest, it's more of a human drama focusing on the real-life issues faced by a group of people who happen to work in an Italian restaurant. So if we're talking purely about food, then I'd have to say Soma. That said, I wouldn't pick either one as my favourite 'food' manga.

Your favourite main theme music pieces? Whether anime, or not. By those I mean the pieces which share the show's name or get labelled with "MAIN THEME" in the soundtrack. I'm going with those as they signal intent on their creators' part.

Ouran concerto from Ouran (Hirano Yoshihisa)
Cafe Alpha (Main Theme) from Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou (Choro Club)
シャングリラ (Shangri La) from Noein (Nanase Hikaru) <--- no 'main theme' in the title but it is obviously the main theme...
さらい屋五葉 from Saraiya Goyou (MOKA☆ aka Kondo Yukio & Konishi Kayo)

1) I had to go look up his credits list. Recognized things like Kyojin's Jean + all that stuff from 10 years ago like DearS, Midori no Hibi & Sensei no Ojikan. Guess he's not too bad then?

2) I like less than 5 GRANRODEO songs but I guess it's not because of his singing or anything....

How about Di gi Charat, Rozen Maiden & Galaxy Angel? They're the first three anime that I think of when I think of Sawashiro. But of course, I'm not her colleague.

Why do most performances for certain anime character archetypes (e.g. tsundere, ojou-sama) have the same mannerism regardless of the seiyuu? Does this homogenization come from training schools or sound directors?

Honestly, I've never really considered myself as part of any fandom so I can't tell. All I can say is that there're a lot more fans these days, they tend to skew younger & obviously, with the prevalence of SNS, they're a lot noisier.

Maybe the Japanese peeps not be wanting you to download and reupload them files elsewhere? I'm not too familiar with anime myself but for Japan's music industry, JASRAC & RIAJ both clamp down heavily on Youtube uploads. Gotta protect them IP/copyright holders!

Only after x number of years when they've outlived their popularity. Who wants to run their own business into the ground by developing a 'dating idols' concept? It wouldn't fly with the target audience.
