An open to interpretation scene, obvious that nothing romantic is happening imminently but let it be shown that they'll possibly be together someday in the future again.

Good question. In a way yes (so far) but honestly with all the inner turmoil Santana's going through and what's still to happen in the future, it bites them both in the ass in different ways. I don't like fics where brittana are perfect and rarely make mistakes, I like them flawed and rough around the edges and to say and do dumb things.

29 year old anon here, it's scary because when I was 16 I was in the Pretender fandom, reading X-Files and Xena fanfic, and 13 years later I'm pretty much doing the same thing for different shows. When I was 16 I thought 29 year old me would be way more glam. The younguns just make it way too real.

So as far as I can tell you have the patience of a saint and all the people commenting on this are pretty zany. Also as a 29 year old, the fact that 16 year olds are reading the same fic as me is scary. Keep up the good writing.
