You're...on point ;_; Like if I have to face some loss for someone else's sake I won't mind, BUT if that person doesn't understand what's being done for him/her, and continues to undermine me and the care I have for them, I won't drag myself too low for them ever again. I've developed some hints of self-respect recently, I guess

Exactly yar our whole society is like that, overall. The problem is, you HAVE to be selfish to survive here but yk being slightly selfish doesn't mean you get to be a fucking animal and treat everyone around you like inanimate objects, there's a balance to keep
