You can love someone without liking them. For example, if you have toxic parents, you may not like them but you have love for them just simply because they're the ones that have brought you into this world. I don't like people in general, I still have love and care for all humans. Hate is too strong
If my parents are toxic I'm moving the fuck out the moment I get the chance. I won't love my parents because of that stupid excuse that "wEll tHEy brOUghT yoU intO thIs WoRlD", if they're toxic then I'm going to find a family of my own, whether it be friends or a partner.
