Yes the thing with men is there are not always ready to settle down. It's normal to freak out just a little. I think is fine. Maybe she wanted to be reassured of what she was living

What u could've done is : talk to her, tell her not to worry, maybe not now, but eventually, bc u don't want to leave her or she is everything u want. Something like that😄
