They're not always mean, but sometimes I think it's warranted. If a woman is mean to a man, it's usually because of something that happened in her past, and we, as men, have to respect that and approach them gently to prove ourselves to them in order to get them to open up. I don't think they're mean without reason. And if they are, it is sometimes just because they like you. But it really depends on the context of the situation.
