Do you think we’d be better off without social media?
No. Think about the worst things you've heard about this year. Not one of them was a first time ever occurrence. People aren't doing things they never did before, we just didn't have the ability to share the information simultaneously. I will say that it is disillusioned some people into thinking that they are far more important than they truly are but the one thing social media still does more than any other tool we have at our disposal is relay information. Might not be the right information, at times it may be controlled and calculated information, but an informed society is still a better society.
