The president can't make it harder for people to get weapons; it's a state issue. It's also an election year; got to get people fired up somehow and for whatever reason liberals still think that they're going to somehow find a magic piece of legislation to make gun violence go away. I mean if anyone thinks they're really going to be able to ban guns just go and do some research about prohibition and how well tha worked. Once someone has the right to do something, taking that away is a very problematic and dangerous things to try.

People are not created equal, there's no such thing as a level playing field, unfortunately being deserving of something doesn't always grant it to you. For the record I'm not trying to kill all optimism or hope, just set obtainable, realistic goals.
