For an eternal friendship both women need to be equal. Mutual respect is important! What about men? I think they are much simpler. They are always ready to stand up for a friend and stand up until the end. I think they do not require something supernatural and accept each other with all weaknesses. They get into various troubles which makes their friendship stronger. This is all I can say. Much depends on each individual.
