How did you thought up the mechanics of TLS: Dead Zone? Was it long term planning or instant-flick of the idea lightbulb during a bathroom break?

Thermospher A. Exosphere
I wrote the basic design in about a week. Then it took about 2 months to get the full design out.
The inspiration was to build a version of Backyard Monsters (which I enjoyed) and make it more engaging. The Last Stand: Union City really helped lay the groundwork though, a lot of the loot ideas came from there.

What do you think makes a great game developer/designer?

Sungbin Cho
- Playing or watching lots of games by other people and then de-constructing the good parts of them.
- Learning about all of the disciplines involved in game development and understanding them
- Design (but not to completion) a huge amount and variety of games. I currently have 30 or 40 rough designs for new games. Eventually, I'll take parts from 3 or 4 of them and make something great. The other ideas will go back on the pile.

How do you feel about the hate Call of Duty Infinite Warfare is getting on its reaction trailer?

It's definitely interesting. I think it's a mixture of things; people aren't happy with the direction they're taking the series & a good old fashion internet pile on.
As they've pushed Call of Duty further and further into the near future, I think people are getting tired of the exo's and such. I personally think they've strayed a bit too far from their roots.
The other thing is something you'll see everywhere on the internet - the pile on. Voting systems that expose the vote results up front cause serious weighting in the direction of the most popular vote already. As the scale tips in a 50-50 vote, it will almost always end up vertical, with one end pointing straight up. I don't think people "dislike" the trailer as much as the numbers indicate, I think they like the idea of contributing to the "most disliked video of all time".

What kind of car do you drive? And what would be your dream car?

I've lived in the city for half my life, so I don't own a car. Dream car would be a matte black 1970 Dodge Charger.

What got you into zombies?

It started with general horror films in high school. My best friend and I would spend the weekends and holidays renting huge amount of horror movies from the video store. I can't actually remember which film it was that was the first zombie movie I saw, but I've seen pretty much every one since.
The one that started the whole Last Stand thing though was 28 days later. The scene at the farm house at night where they're holding out against the zombies, that was the inspiration for the series.

How did your team of developers start? were they close friends or did they contact you

Most of us worked together making games for an advertising agency. I was the first to leave, then the others followed a few years after. We've known each other for about 10 years and worked together for about 6 of those, so we're a pretty well oiled machine at this point.

You've updated union city, why not just update it to part 2? I would seriously pay for a part two but at the same time I would have high expectations.

Good to hear, but it's not that simple. RPGs are expensive as hell to make, especially with the level of quality that's expected now.

Do you ever give special treatment to personal friends who play deadzone? Like free fuel?

Only to family really, bit of free fuel here and there. My younger brother was putting money into the game without telling me! Had to give it back to him because I felt bad.

Did you ever see yourself becoming this successful?

Nope! Honestly, when I started doing this I wasn't sure anyone would like my games, let alone give me money for them.

Last stand union city 2? Any chance that can happen?

People ask for it a lot, I'm not really sure what kind of game it would be. I made UC the way it is because I wanted to do something different. That's why Dead Zone was different as well.

Do you have Union City`s entire supply Twinkies at your compound? - Aubrey Dickson Armor Games Server

I do when we get paid for product placement.

CON.. im realy like the christmas song from the last stand... can you tell me title from that music... please.....

It's a mix between our ambient music and a stick music piece I picked up from Sound Dogs. Can't remember the name of the track, sorry!

how do you use the medical kits and medical vest?

You can't. We use the single slot system for gear to try and maintain balance.

How did you start making Games?Have you ever thought about publish games on Steam?

I started by modifying other people's games. I started with board games when I was about 10 - I wrote my own rules for an old board game called Hero Quest. From there I made maps for Doom and Duke 3D. Working with other people's games taught me a lot about how games work and it's a great place to start.
Releasing a game on PC through Steam is a bit of a dream, one day!

Can you get research notes as drops in areas? if you can what are my chances(percentage) of getting them

Yep! They're low and limited though.

http://pastebin.com/4z4cnWCc (If you can decode it, you'll be smarter than I thought previously), it's 2 simple questions.

This literally took me 2 minutes. You're less smart than you think you are :)
ATWHATPOINTDIDYOUTHINKWEWOULDFIGUREOUTM-CODE?ATWHATPOINTDIDYOUTHINKWE'DACTUALLYFINDTHEHIDDENMESSAGESINTHESOURCECODE?
I thought you'd all figure them out pretty quick, they're fairly simple. Did you find anything in the source code?

How many questions (roughly) would you say you get a day and how many (roughly) are worthy of being answered?

It's about a 10 to 1 ratio.

1. Do Furios Search or One Man's Trash books increase the chance of finding a unique? 2. What was the last book you have read?

Furious Search will just increase the number of items you find, so yeah. One Man's Trash will straight up remove junk from drops, but it doesn't get replaced.
As for books, I'm reading "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss at the moment, it's great!

What inspired you to do the Bruiser Zombie look?

There wasn't much inspiration really, it was more that we had most of the pieces. I threw the mohawk on and then painted the vest in. It didn't look different enough so I added some tattoos. Wasn't much planning to it, all happened in an afternoon.

Favorite E3 game?

Fallout 4 was the one I'm most anticipating, actually picked that it would be out this year. I'm glad that Battlefront is looking great too, I shed a little tear watching that trailer, serious childhood fantasy stuff there.
