Are you still keeping an eye on the infected bounty results? I am again really disappointed, that is was impossible for me to complete them, even though i did my best.

We're still looking at them and completion rates are steady. They are possible, thousands of people a day at all levels are completing them.

Have you considered either 'pausing' a Bounty placed by another Player when White Flag is equipped so it remains in effect, or outright preventing White Flag from being used by anyone with a Bounty on them?

Stopping people from WF'ing when they've got a bounty on is something we've discussed. There's a few issues with it though. The main one being the period between the attack and the target placing the bounty is an indeterminate amount of time. Sure, it would stop anyone who has an active bounty from WF'ing, but it wouldn't stop those who just attacked, wait for the cooldown then apply.
To our knowledge. People having a White Flag up isn't the main cause of protection in the Bounty System.

When will WF bug be fixed? or is it a feature? I personally dont mind it being a feature, and that having it equipped means no raiding, period.

Sev and I actually spent the whole day today on that bug. We put a change up a few hours to try and fix it. Let us know in the forums if it's still causing problems.

Another thing on uni/rare find chance reduction - does it last 24 hours from finding one or has a reset time on current day?

From memory it resets at a set time each day.

On the topic of recycler again - how about making a structure that just deletes stuff, and gives 0 components? ( would help with getting rid of ammo mods and other long-time-to-recycle stuff, and prevent ppl from using junk as a resource source at the same time)

Yeah this is something we've talked about as well. It's on the maybe list.

To what extent are Alt accounts legal?

To the extent where if we catch you abusing them for Alliance Wars, we'll ban all your accounts :D

Are you 100% certain the the 25% quality item boost we had last round was working correctly? A lot of players on Kong at high lvls experienced a disproportionately high amount of purple ammo mods and carrier harnesses. Almost all guns founds were black quality. Seemed odd to me

It affects the rolls for both weapons and gear in exactly the same way. Gear items in some cases are more common than weapons.

Favourite gear has to be "The 2nd Amendment" was heaps of fun to design and get that marching band music in. The goofy stuff is a good break from the realistic weapon design.
Too many good, fun unique and rare names. My favourites are the ones that are basically the same word used twice, like "Destructive Destruction" which just dropped a few minutes ago for someone.

If you find a unique there's a decreased chance of finding another one within a certain timeframe. If you do happen to find a unique in that timeframe, is your chance of finding a third unique decreased even more, or is the timeframe extended?

Nope, it stays the same. We reduce the chance once you've found a Unique or Rare and it stays the same until the rest.

Will the "zombie slayer" task of the first test rounds or war ever come back?

Possibly. We removed it because it was hard to balance the zombie counts when alliances have members from a huge range of levels. If we figure out a smarter way to do it it might work.

Does the Peak Oil book increase the number of drops (i.e. increase your daily fuel cap for drops), or increase the odds that you'll roll for fuel?

Yeah, the wording on those books isn't really clear, sorry.
It increases your daily fuel cap. It doesn't have an effect on the drop rate.

Being on a "private" dev server, have you ever cheated to get something you needed on your account? Other than to test new items.

Heck yes, all the time.
We're constantly adding 100's of thousands of units of Fuel to our accounts. But it's all for testing in the end.
We can test on the live environment without you guys knowing. We have "ghost" attacks, so we can attack you without a report, damage or any effect on your account. It's really useful to testing high end PVP scenarios.

Will you ever bring back the book "Camouflage in the Apocalypse"? If you did, would you consider making it permanent?

Ah yes. That was lost during the re-do of the store. I thought I'd added it back in. I'll put it on my to do list!

What inspired you to become a game designer? What other jobs were you considering before becoming a game designer for sure?

The games I played growing up inspired me I guess. That was a mix of NES, Sega Master System and Megadrive (Genesis) games, as well as board and card games.
I've always made games, it started with making my own rules for board games and making card games based on things like Street Fighter or Professional Wrestling. Eventually I moved onto making text adventures and level design.
The funny thing is though, I never really thought I could make games for a living. It was just something I did.
When I was 12, I wanted to be an architect because a friend of my Dad's was one and he had a cool car. In high school, I was looking at being a designer, doing industrial or graphic design. In the end those two things kind of came together when I started messing with level design in Unreal. I got a contract job with Epic Games as a level designer. That was the moment I realised I could do it.
In between then and now though, I actually spent 7 years working in advertising, where I was doing a bit of everything but ended up making games there as well.
So I guess the moral of the story is, game design wasn't something I decided to do, it was just something I've always done.

Any idea when we will see your next game after Dead Zone?

Dead Zone is still keeping us busy after nearly 3 years. It's hard to say at this point!

What was the inspiration for the Rasputin gear? I don't get the reference.

For the helmet itself it was seeing the Russian soldiers on the news recently. It's a Russian ballistic helmet. The support class in Battlefield 4 wears one too.
The name was just the first Russian related name that "fit".

What's the approximate ratio of TLS:DZ players on each of the four host sites?

I can't disclose that information, sorry!
I'll say that the player bases are pretty large on our newer platforms.

What happens after the release of Union Island in Dead Zone? Will there be new content for all levels?

Working on new content for everyone is tricky. It's taken us years to get to this point. That said, we are working on new maps for all levels at the moment.
We're not sure where Dead Zone will take us after the island, we'll have to see.
