What's your favorite video game?
TWEWY. Also known as The World Ends With You.
It has awesome vivid and at times psychedelic visuals that still remain true to realism somewhat.
A fucking amazing story with more twists and turns than a countryside road network.
Super satisfying combat mixing elements from Pokemon and far more fast-paced combat with a solid sprinkle of ingenuity.
An odd yet nicely fitting J-pop soundtrack, some of them I'm pretty sure aren't J-pop though. Namely "game over" and "NOSIY NOISE"
Original monster art with the Noise and the human-noise hybrids/bosses making things even cooler.
And maybe what I love the most about it, it's title "The World Ends With You" as that is as much a name for the game as it's a message to the player. "The world ends at your boarders" if you stay in your tiny comfort zone and never go, see, try, feel or experience something new, are you truly living? Or are you just waiting for death to take you? You make the change to jump out and try something new, or you will die old forgotten and useless.
