Hi jq can you share why is korea not solo friendly?
because food is mostly meant for two. there are restaurants where you can get meals for one of course but majority of options in korea are meant to be shared. that said, i find this changing every trip i go to korea as eating alone gets more common. other than that, you’ll have no issues being alone!

hi it’s cold rn already! it falls down to negative degrees by end november. you’ll need to bring at least 2 or 3 complete sets of winter wear, and definitely a warm coat. it IS cheaper to buy there and variety is better, especially if you go around ehwa or other underground markets. it’ll be 10k+won per fleece lined mantoman sweater and around 70k for a decent jacket.
just remember you can rewear winter clothes! just choose a basic colour top and switch around bottoms or vice versa. for a week, you won’t need more than 3/4 sweaters as long as your inner wear is sufficient.
