How to write a good essay?

HAHAHAHAHA
- write simply. there is no need to use a string of big words to get your point across. write to express, not to impress.
- make sure you read a lot about the topic you're supposed to write.
- know what level of language is appropriate for the kind of essay you're writing.
- start strong. entice the readers to read the rest of your work from the first few lines.
- know where the essay is heading. it's easier to write with an ending in mind so you only have to find the path leading to it. otherwise, you will feel as though you yourself have to build a path that doesn't seem to go anywhere.
- i find it easier to write an outline first before writing, but this is optional.
- WRITE SIMPLY.
- incorporate a lot of references that the readers can relate to so they feel closer to the essay.
- elaborate each point you raise until the reader understands what you're trying to say.
- only add relevant information.
- write ahead of time. cramming a long essay will fuck you up. i swear.

(it's me again) because I love people who loves what they are doing, I actually even envy them. (I have a hard time doing that right now, I'm not sure if I'm taking the right course)

is there a specific way that you plan your stories?? in terms of plot, character development, etc? if so, do tell :)

hahahaha i never really planned my stories up until recently with my nano novel but anyway
i never really plan the plot out. i normally just have a general direction of where i want the story to go, having a beginning in mind, but not an ending.
character development, i generally just give my character a main emotional problem then plan out how he/she will resolve it in the end through the story conflict.
