Is *wanting* to have children a good enough reason to have them, or do you believe we humans are 'obliged' to make such choices on a more moral basis; e.g, the duty to maintain the population etc? (as opposed to the Voluntary Extinction movement) Q2: Is wanting something you don’t *need* unethical?
Your question could have many different answers, determined by each persons wants and outlook on things. One has no duty to maintain the population, and no duty to favor it's extinction. And everyone is always wanting something they don't really need. And I don't consider any of the choices unethical.
