Let's talk about hope!
I read somewhere that shytaan's biggest weapon against Muslims and people in general, is disappointment. Yes, it's not him stopping you from praying salah or him making you lie.. Although these are the things he'd do but his biggest weapon is him causing you to always feel extreme hopelessness and disappointment.
It makes perfect sense because when you have no hope, when you are just disappointed in yourself, your life, your family /friends and just everything around you.. you have no hope of improvement. When you are so hopeless and you've accepted this state already, what're you gonna pray to Allah for? You don't hope that your duas will be accepted, you don't pray 🤷🏻‍♀️
And humans are selfish, they usually start making dua to Allah when they want something but even then, at least they're communicating with Allah. That communication is what slowly causes us to pray, to form a connection with Him.
Allah has promised that if we walk towards Him, He runs towards us. When you start forming a connection with Him, He starts living in your heart and if you keep walking towards Him, this connection will keep getting stronger. Unless shytaan, once again, causes you to feel disappointed, hopeless and embarrassed when you commit a sin. So embarrassed that you don't hope that you'd be forgiven, you once again are disappointed in yourself and the cycle starts once again.
So all this starts because of disappointments and hopelessness. That's why Allah says in the Quran, that we shouldn't lose hope in His mercy. Our loss of hope is what'll push us down this dark hole of sadness, disappointments and weakening our connection with Him.
Moral of the story? Keep your hope alive. Try to read about the stories of Prophets.. When they had no hope but they were saved from unavoidable disasters. Like Ibrahim (A.S) and the fire cooling down. Musa (A.S) and the sea splitting for him.
Muhammad(S.A.W.) and the battle of khandaq and so many more tbh.
